About Us

Backyard Letters was first started in 2008 by two homeschooling Mums from Pukekohe, Auckland, New Zealand.

They first dabbled in photo letters while working on a homeschool project with their children.  They then went on to create amazing works of art creating words using these photo letters from their backyard.

The catalogue of letters has grown over the years, and although they started locally, letters have been photographed from all around New Zealand..you might even recognised some of the locations!!  All of our photos have been taken in NZ only, so you are guaranteed to be purchasing a little piece of kiwiana.
In 2013, I was lucky enough to buy this business and have been working hard to add to the catalogue of photos and introduce new and exciting products.

Currently, we have a Jason brand placemat and coasters which are available to purchase on our website or can be seen at Farmers and Briscoes thoughout New Zealand.  I have recently designed some greeting cards for a real estate agent in Pukekohe and popped her logo on the back of the card, if you are interested in corporate gifts, please send me an email and I am sure I will be able to help you out.

Devon Lane gift sutdio in Pukekohe is now stocking a small range of our Word art photo blocks.
Backyard letters can also be seen at a number of craft markets around Auckland, check our Facebook page for details on the next one.  You can save on postage if you would like to pick any items up from me from one of the Craft markets, send me an email before you make your order and I will give you a code to enter at the checkout.

Backyard letters is now run by me in Pukekohe with the love and support of my wonderful husband and two children.
I absolutely LOVE this business and the endless possibiities that can be created with Backyard Letters and am passionate about delivering a fantastic product and service to you.
I look forward to working with you to create your own Backyard Letters  to love.  Please contact me if you have any questions or queries!
