Natural Calligraphy Letters

Some of our photos look like calligraphy letters. When I was about 11 or 12yrs old, I was given my first calligraphy pen set. A small plastic case, with a traditional ink cartridge pen and interchangable nibs. I always preferred using the fattest nib to produce wonderful scratchy calligraphy letters, the smoothness only flowing when I managed to get the correct angle hold. My love affair with calligraphy never left me, and I am often asked by Maria to 'write the postal address' because the neatness and ability to form calligraphy letters has stayed with me..

Calligraphy is a skill that seems to have experienced a renaissance - with the use of emails and cyber communication, the art of traditonal letter writing was in danger of dying a slow painful death - it is a welcome relief to see informative calligraphy sites alive and active!.
